QQI Level 4 Sports
followed by
QQI Level 5 ‘Sports and Recreation’ major award.
The program is aimed at learners seventeen years plus who have left school early, not completed their second level education, are in receipt of a social welfare payment or would like to return to education. There are ten places on each program.
The program offers the learners the chance to explore a wide range of modules in a relaxed supported environment. Classes are blended with a practical emphasis designed to allow learners to express themselves and gain skills that will enable them to progress to further education. We work with every learner individually to ensure they have a progression plan when they finish.

Entry requirements
The following is a list of entry requirements for the course:
- Unemployed
- In receipt of a social welfare payment
- Aged between 17-35yrs (this has been relaxed to include anyone up to the age of 60)
- Have a reasonable level of written and verbal communication skills
- Be willing to be part of a team
- Have an interest in the subject area
- Be committed to a 38-week full-time course
- A desire to progress to further education or enter employment
- This course is open to all ethnic and social backgrounds.
