About

GYNG (Gorey Youth Needs Group) was established in 1995 with a clear goal of providing services for children, young people and their families in need of additional supports and services.

GYNG originally opened its doors at the Old School House (Charlotte Row) and later secured funding from the South Eastern Health Board to renovate Woodstock Hall, Esmonde Street. After a number of years and with higher demand for the services more space was required to operate efficiently. In 2007 GYNG was approved €1.1 million in funding by Pobal under the National Childcare Investment Program to develop a Community Childcare Centre. As a result of this project, GYNG moved its services to this new location in 2009. Gorey Community Development Group awarded a sum of €20,000 to help furnish the facility.

The Organisation has continued to thrive ever since by way of support and funding for the provision of the numerous services, programmes, interventions and training it provides.
