Our full-time youth service, core funded by Tusla, offering a wide range of services and supports to children and young people living in the North of Wexford.
Gorey Youth Service is the original project managed by GYNG having first been established in 1995. It has since evolved to meet the requirements of today’s youth, delivering an annual plan which has been agreed with Tusla and through consultation with our young members.

It is an informal group which is run by parents themselves and supported by GYNG staff. Ages range from new-born babies up to school going age. Free to join, but donations for tea/coffee, refreshments are greatly appreciated.
New members are always welcome.
Ukraine Support
GYNG established a Ukrainian Support Group in late March 2022 when Ukrainians fleeing the invasion first arrived in North Wexford. GYNG open a space for Ukrainians to meet every Monday mornings from 10am-1pm. In May 2022 Tusla identified this group as an official Community Hub and also provided funding to employ a Ukrainian Family Support Worker. Our worker is available to help any Ukrainian residents navigate their way as best they can in their host communities.
Organising events, referrals and signposting to other relevant services and creating opportunities to come together is an important aspect of the Ukrainian Family Support Project.
For further information on this group, news and events and opportunities please contact Mariia Kolomiiets at mariia.kolomiiets@gyng.ie
Integration Youth Project
In 2023 Tusla provided funding for GYNG to employ an Integration Youth Worker. This project provides a range of interventions and supports to disconnected youths from new communities and the Ukrainian/migrant youth population of North Wexford. It has a clear focus on integration in order to improve outcomes for young people who have found themselves living in host communities. The Integrated Youth Worker meets young people at their own space but also provides support in assisting them to integrate into services, clubs, centre based youth programmes, out of school activities etc. GYNG and many other community-based organisations in Co. Wexford work alongside statutory agencies in coordinating and delivering a range of supports to migrants and refugees in order to help them integrate into Irish society.
